We have been chosen by Summer Camp Music Festival (Umphrey's, Moe., Trey Anastasio, Primus, etc.) to compete against 5 other bands from all over Ohio for a chance to play at Summer Camp this Memorial Day Weekend! We perform at Woodlands Tavern tonight (3.14.14) at Midnight! Each patron gets a ballot at the door and voting is from 7pm-1am! We are honored to be a part of this and it would be possibly the biggest show we've played to date! Come out and show us some support so we can be a part of this awesome festival this year! You can get more information here or by checking out the event on Facebook here.

It's been a great year for DFTS! It flew by, but a lot of excitement came into our orbit in the past 12 months.

We met and played our first show with our new keyboardist, Max Greenberg, in February. While we were playing that show, we were also debuting Don't Fear The Satellites in Chicago. As the year went on, we continued to stretch across other Midwest cities, some for the first time. Many new songs found their way into set lists as got more comfortable playing the material with the new lineup. We met tons of new awesome people and made some new friends on the road. DFTS also had the opportunity to open for some prominent Midwest bands including Ekoostik Hookah, Blue Moon Soup, and Sassafraz to name a few.

Later in the year, in November, DFTS threw one of the biggest shows we have played at Mayday in Northside. The evening included performances from close friends, Majestic Man and Tonal Caravan. Also there was comedy by Cincinnati and Youtube favorite, Ben Dudley. The entire show was rounded out by live artistry from liquid-light-projecting friends Spettra, Mary Westwood and an installation from the man responsible for many of Don't Fear The Satellites's visuals, Objects Rust. DFTS's performance from the night was filmed and recorded and is currently seeping onto Youtube. Check the website or DFTS's Facebook page for new videos from Live at Mayday that release every other Tuesday.

DFTS has exciting plans for 2014 and can't wait to share them with the world. Thank you for a great 2013, and here's to a great new year!
